Training & Development

Whether you join us straight from University or as an experienced recruiter, we want to give you the best support to help you realise your potential and succeed in your career. Below is a snapshot of some of the internal and external training we can offer:

Systems and Software Training

On your first day of joining Searchability you will have a one-one-one training session with our Digital Services Manager Kate, giving you a deep dive into some of the core tools and programmes we use at Searchability including Bullhorn, SourceBreaker, LinkedIn, Broadbean, The job boards and more!

Social Media Marketing

We have a large focus on social media and marketing at Searchability, so we will provide training on best practice on channels including Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, and show you how to create engaging content, images and videos to help you showcase your opportunities.

Trainee Recruiter 4 Week Programme

Every Trainee Recruiter will undergo a structured in-house 4-week foundation of training which includes information around sourcing and engaging with candidates, as well as business development and the recruitment process too. This is broken down into weekly sessions titled: “Resourceful Resourcing”, “Connecting Candidates”, “Piloting Process” and “Pitch Perfect”.

One-on-one coaching

While the beginning of your journey will include plenty of formal and structured training, we ensure you have continued support and guidance throughout your time with us to help you realise your potential. Your Line Manager will be on hand for assistance and you will also have access to one-on-one catch ups with Directors to discuss your progress.

The Recruitment School

We have partnered with Martin Ingram – Director of The Recruitment School – to deliver comprehensive training for recruitment consultants and recruitment managers within the business. The courses are delivered once a week in our HQ, helping you to deepen your understanding of the industry and discover your full potential.

External conferences and events

We encourage our people to immerse themselves within their market, and regularly support our employees with funding external conferences and events. This has included The Members Only Retreat, World Employer Branding Day, Indeed Explore, LinkedIn Conferences, Tech MeetUp’s and much more!

Associate Director - Salary / Profit share TBD

Expectation for progression:
Your direct team of Direct trainees responsible for £1m combined Gross profit and to include at least 1 Managing Consultant, 1 Senior Consultant, 1 Consultant & 1 Recruiter all trained by yourself
Divisional Manager
Expectation for progression:
12 x 20k / 240k in 12 months (max 1 blank)
Managing a team of four with at least one Senior Consultant trained by yourself
Managing Consultant
Expectation for progression:
£180k in 12 months (max 1 blank)
Trained at least two people up to consultant level
Senior Consultant
Expectation for progression:
£150k in 12 months (max 1 blank)
Trained one person up to consultant level
Expectation for progression:
Perm = £72k in 6 months (max 1 blank)
Contract = 12 deals in 6 months (max 1 blank)
To progress:
Perm = £8k boarded with own spec / candidate
Contract = Boarded a deal from start to finish
